TWP Series Externally Heated Desiccant Air Dryers

Parker TWP Series Externally Heated Desiccant Air Dryers operate similarly to the TW series to achieve a pressure dewpoint of -40°F, but the design includes a heat source to assist the purge air during regeneration. This is called Thermal Swing Adsorption and helps reduce the energy required to regenerate the desiccant bed.

The TWP Series adds a heater to the regeneration process, this is called heated regeneration or thermal swing adsorption. The desiccant dryer is still designed to achieve -40°F PDP, but it includes a heater to reduce the amount of purge air required during regeneration. The regeneration time for the TWP series is extended to 8 hours to complete a full cycle.

Sizing and Model Selection
To ensure quoted air purity performance is met, a compressed air dryer must be sized correctly for minimum operating pressure, maximum inlet temperature and maximum inlet flow rate using the Product Information Sheet.

How to Order

6. Low Ambient Temperature Package option covers dryers with filter package N, F or B only. The dryer must also have NEMA 4 protection class. Consult mdi if Low Ambient Temperature Package option is required for a dryer with filter package D or a protection class other than NEMA 4.
7. TWP201-1201 come with float drain on pre-filter as standard. TWP1501 and larger come with both a demand drain and timed solenoid drain on pre-filter as standard. Timed solenoid drain option code T is available for TWP201-1201 only. Use option code Y if both Instrument Package options G & T are required for TWP201-1201.
